How can I support a friend after a disappointing medium reading?

A friend may leave a reading disappointed, unsettled, or angry. How can you listen without endorsing claims you cannot verify or dismissing their feelings? What practical support might help them decide whether to take a break, raise a concern with the provider, or seek grief support elsewhere?

Start by asking what felt disappointing and whether your friend wants company, advice, or simply time to talk. You do not need to decide what the reading meant for them. If they want to act, help them check the provider's published refund or complaint terms and avoid paying for another session while distressed. Ordinary support from trusted people or a qualified grief professional can be valuable regardless of the reading.
